The call a coordinator would have made.
When something cannot wait for a text, the agent picks up the phone. It asks for the missing item, answers the candidate's questions, knows a voicemail from a person, and files the transcript and the outcome on the record.
One call, start to filed
It speaks first, and files what it heard.

Hi Lauren, this is the credentialing assistant for Meridian Staffing, about your Riverside start on Monday. Do you have a minute?
Sure, is this about the TB result?
It is. The second-step read is the last item on your file. Do you have the result from Tuesday?
Yes, a paper copy. Can I text you a photo?
- tool · send_upload_link · crd.is/k7m2 texted
Done, I just texted you a link. Photo or scan, either works, and the file is read as soon as it lands. Anything else before Monday?
No, that's everything. Thanks.

Who answered
A person, a voicemail, or a screener. It knows.
Answering-machine detection and the live transcript tell them apart. A person gets the call. A voicemail gets one short message. A call screener gets one sentence and patience. A phone menu gets a human.

The right channel
A call when it matters. A text the rest of the time.
The Communication Agent weighs the deadline, the candidate's time zone and what was already said, and picks per ask. Routine reminders stay on text and email. The phone is for what cannot wait.

Calling Agent
same brief, same file
“Hi Lauren, you reached Meridian Staffing. I can see your Riverside file. Is this about the TB result?”
logged on the record · transcript · 0:31
Every call on the record. Nothing private on a voicemail.
The rules it calls under
Never by voice
A Social Security number, date of birth, home address, pay or health detail is never asked for on a call or left on a message.
One voicemail
Who called, why in one plain sentence, a callback number. Under 25 seconds. The agent does not keep ringing.
Within the brief
Each call carries a goal and only the tools that goal needs. Anything outside it goes to a person.
Questions
What is the Calling Agent?
A voice agent that makes and takes phone calls for credentialing follow-up on your workspace's own phone numbers. It calls when a text will not do, asks for the missing item, answers the candidate's questions from the file and the facility's rules, and files the transcript, a summary and the outcome on the record.
When does the agent call instead of texting?
When something cannot wait, when a candidate taps Call me in the portal, or when a question needs a conversation. The Communication Agent weighs the deadline, the candidate's time zone and recent messages and chooses the channel; routine reminders stay on text and email.
What happens when voicemail picks up?
The agent tells a person from a machine, a call screener and a phone menu. On voicemail it leaves one short message with who called, why in one plain sentence and a callback number, with nothing private on it, and does not keep ringing. A phone menu is handed to a person.
Is the call recorded?
The call is transcribed and the transcript, every tool call and the outcome are stored on the candidate's record. Staff open it from the Inbox thread with View call.
Can our team take calls too?
Yes. Each number can ring the agent, your team's browser softphones, or your team first and the agent if nobody answers. Staff place calls from the same softphone and the log is shared.
